More an informal MBT House Party than an immersive this 5-night event will take place July 24-29 2022 (rescheduled from August 2021) at this fabulous resort hotel just 5 minutes drive from Phuket International Airport.

Inspired by Phuket’s tin mining past, The Slate combines industrial elements with raw beauty that evokes poetic reminders of a bygone past. With an industrial chic design set against the beautiful natural backdrop of Nai Yang Beach and the Andaman Sea, The Slate is a relaxed, stylish hideaway and the perfect place to hold an MBT event in Asia

The resort has an award winning rainforest spa, 3 marvelous outdoor pools (2 adults only), a fitness center that provides yoga, pilates and Muay Thai classes as well as 5 unique dining options that leave guests spoiled for choice.

When it comes to accommodation, lavish air-conditioned rooms, suites and pool villas have soft lighting, lots of texture and luxe rich wood and cool stone accents uniquely decorated with original art pieces and locally crafted furnishings. Flat-screen TV's, free Wi-Fi and bottled water are included in all rooms.

Awake in a dreamscape of inspiring art and natural beauty, enjoy a bountiful fresh breakfast buffet and you will be ready to go for the day!

We have set aside 40 luxurious Pearl Bed Suites for this event

Set in 2-story buildings located across the resort, each suite, which measures between 56 and 65 square meters, features smooth, polished wooden floors, carefully handcrafted rugs and bursts of rich hue in scarlet and royal blue. Step out onto your private balcony and enjoy a sweeping view of tropical flora.

If you wish to stay in something even more glamorous, you may upgrade to a higher room category such as a D-Buk Suite or Pool Suite closer to the date of the event for a supplement (subject to availability).

A large number of the Pearl Bed Suites have two queen-sized beds in them so we can offer shared accommodation at the same rate as double occupancy. You can bring a friend with you or we can pair you up with a suitable roommate.

Food and Drink

Five breakfasts, four lunches and a gala dinner on the final evening are all included with this MBT House Party. We decided not to include dinner on the first four evenings of this event in order to allow attendees the chance to explore the resort and make their own plans for the evening.

On the final evening, a gala dinner will take place in The Slate's renowned and award-winning Black Ginger restaurant.

Tea, coffee, water, and snacks such as fresh fruit and nuts will be available throughout the day. Bottles of premium still and sparkling water along with a selection of juices will be available to purchase from the bar. Because of the nature of this event, soft drinks and alcohol will not be served (with the exception of beer and wine at the gala dinner).

We strongly recommend that you refrain from drinking these kinds of beverages while you are participating in the experience.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

If you will be flying in to join us, Phuket International Airport is just minutes away from the resort. Round-trip transfers are included in the price of this event.

We have envisaged this MBT House Party as an informal event in keeping with the resort's laid-back vibe. You will be free to arrive from 3pm onwards on Sunday 24th and settle into your chosen accommodation before joining the rest of the group for Tom's introduction at 7.30pm.

The next four days will follow the same relaxed schedule as follows:

The morning session will run from 9am until 1pm with a short break around 10.30am

A leisurely lunch will be taken from 1pm to 2pm. The afternoon session will run from 2pm until 6pm with a short break around 4pm

Each evening, with the exception of the final evening, you will be on your own to enjoy the resort at your leisure. You may decide to seek out somewhere new and enticing for dinner or you may decide to just relax and talk in a quiet corner of the resort with newly made friends. The choice is yours!

On the last evening, we have arranged an exclusive gala dinner in the Slate's renowned Black Ginger restaurant. Getting over to the restaurant by pull-ferry is half the fun.

The price for this 5-night MBT House Party is as follows:

$2,600 for single occupancy

$2,100 per person for double or shared occupancy

All prices include the full MBT House Party program,

accommodation, round trip airport transfers

and meals as stated (5 breakfast, 4 lunches, 1 gala dinner)

Should you wish to bring along a partner/friend who will share your room with you but NOT participate in the program then you can do so. You would simply pay the single occupancy rate and they can join you FREE OF CHARGE but please bear in mind that they will not be able to join you for any of the program, lunches or the gala dinner on the final evening.

If you would like to join us at The Slate in August 2021 please complete our booking form to register. Once we have confirmed availability you will be asked to pay a $600 per person deposit within 30 days to confirm that reservation. For those of you living outside of the US, we have a way of accepting your payments by direct transfer in Pounds Sterling, Euros, Australian Dollars and several other currencies. You can also call us with credit/debit card details or send us your payment via PayPal (although in each of these two cases a 4% fee will apply). If you do not make your deposit payment within 30 days, MBT Events reserves the right to cancel your reservation and offer your place to the next person on the waiting list. Your balance will then be due no later than 90 days prior to the start date of the event you have booked to attend.
